Common answers to questions:

  1. Why was my ad deleted or not posted.
Your ad was probably not posted or deleted because it duplicated another person's ad that links back to the same web site, or you placed a REFERRAL URL HYPERLINK  WHICH IS NOT ALLOWED ON THIS WEB SITE in your ad. A referral URL is a hyperlink that adds a member's code to the end of a hyperlink.  All hyperlinks back to a business or web site must end in a .com, .org, .gov etc: In addition your ad may have been deleted because it was placed in general merchandise letter category whereas it should have been placed into category employment ads, which include employment and business opportunities or  you kept duplicating the ad by hitting the submit button over and over without refreshing your browser.
  2. If I make a mistake listing an ad or event what should I do?
E-mail Customerservice@Fleamarketpost.com and write the title of your AD that needs a correction. For security the E-mail address sending the request for correction must be the same E-mail address posted in Ad. In your E-mail state reason for correction:   For example (Correction to ad posted 01/01/2009 by your E-mail name. Doll ad states marked but actually not marked).
  3. How do I place a picture URL?
You have to follow FTP instructions given by your ISP.  You have to scan or download the picture into your computer, and, and then upload or transfer file to space given by your ISP, The picture file then gets saved on your space given by your ISP.  The name you save as, becomes your URL address that others on the internet can open to view your picture.  (FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, ISP stands for Internet Service Provider, and URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator-name saved as, on your ISP).
  4. How do I view a picture or go to a web address advertised?
Simply double click on the hyperlink or copy and paste the Picture/Web URL address shown in the advertisement area into the address line of your browser and click go, or press enter. A quick way to do this is by highlighting the address-right mouse click press copy, and then place cursor in browser address line-right mouse click again, and press paste. After viewing a picture or web page just press the back button on your browser to return.  Please note, if you type http:// before the URL address given in your ad the address will be automatically become a hyperlink to that address.

  5. If I sell my item do I have to notify you to remove it from the advertisement page?
No, all  advertisements depending on when posted delete on the 1st, and 15th of the following month.   THE EXCEPTION TO THE ABOVE ARE ADS THAT LINK TO A WEB SITE.   IF YOUR AD LINKS TO A WEB SITE WE CONSIDER INTERESTING WE WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW YOUR AD.  IF YOU WANT YOUR RENEWED AD REMOVED, JUST SIMPLE SEND AN E-MAIL TO: Customerservice@Fleamarketpost.com AND WRITE REMOVE AD STATING TITLE OF AD.

  6. If I am not sure of a lettered category for an item I wish to list what should I do?
Advertise your web site, business, service or items you wish to sell by product or service use, rather than by  your name or the name of your business.   For example John's Pizzeria should be advertised under Category P for Pizzeria not J for John's Pizzeria.  This is not a hard core rule.  You basically have to decide which letter category targets your ad.  Do not duplicate the same ad in different lettered categories because your ad not only gets posted in a lettered category, but also gets posted in the general Flea Market by date posted.  If you do this, your ad will be duplicated in the general flea market and appear as Spam. Please note, employment ads which include business opportunities are viewed Octarately from the entire flea market, and are not to be placed under letter categories E or B.

  7. Do you charge for advertisement or item?
You only get charged per advertisement.  If you have more than one item for sale just note this in the advertisement section of the advertisement form. Note! This is a great way for selling out one's surplus or lot.
At this time there is no charge and no hidden costs.
As a promotional offer all ads are FREE.
